the guilt of the scratcher

Someone scratched up my mom's car in the parking lot of where she works. No contact information was discreetly tucked in the windshield wipers.
So my parents took it to a body shop for 3 days and 300 dollars later, the red is as dazzling as ever.
My mom still parks in the same spot at work. And I hope the bastard who scratched up her car is soooo guilty and ashamed of himself/herself, that the particular bastard parks all the way around the corner.
If not, then at least that he/she thinks it was all a hallucination, and has nightmares about it. Ten years afterwards too.
